What is Netgem PLEIO?

Netgem TV has significantly upgraded to Netgem PLEIO: a brand new, all IP streaming device. We like to call this hand-sized and portable device “the puck”.

Here’s what we’ve added: the widest range of streaming apps on the market, even more extra Channels, and Cloud Gaming for the whole family.

Here’s what we’ve taken away: any need for an old school TV aerial, so all you need is WiFi!

Here’s what we’ve kept: a great price point, and all the content our customers love.

Sounds pretty good, right? PLEIO was built for three purposes: WATCH. STREAM. PLAY.

WATCH
All the TV you grew up with – the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, and more and more than 40 other channels are brought to you via Freely. So you can watch the nation’s appointment television live with everyone else – (The Traitors, anyone?), and dig into the massive back catalogues with the catch-up apps.

On top of Freely, we’ve thrown in over 120 extra channels – accessible live 24/7, and covering everything from sports, documentaries and cooking shows.

Did we mention you don’t need an aerial?

All you need is WiFi!

Freely TV puck, Coming Soon! @ netgem.co.uk

 02-10-2025

Coming Soon!

https://netgem.co.uk/

that gives you access to live and on-demand TV on televisions that do not have the platform built-in.

https://www.freely.co.uk/about

31.07.2025: Everyone TV – the organisation leading the evolution of free TV in the UK – today announces its expansion into streaming devices. Freely, the free streaming platform backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5, will launch on Netgem devices later this year 2025, giving audiences the freedom to ‘plug-in and stream’ live and on demand TV all in one place.

"In partnership with Netgem, we’re launching streaming devices to make it easier than ever for UK audiences to enjoy the nation’s favourite TV, for free, on the TV you already have."

Hopefully, this marks the beginning of a wider rollout to multiple streaming devices – including many we already own. Imagine being able to ditch Freeview or even Sky and Virgin Media for a Freely-powered Amazon Fire TV Stick – and not have to pay a monthly fee.

As for Netgem, you should talk to your ISP to see if it offers the box as part of its packages. TalkTalk, for example, carries Netgem, as do Community Fibre, brsk*, and Connect Fibre.
