"Polish operator Netia has introduced the Netia Player 2.0 (N7800) new decoder, successor to the N7700, currently in use by most customers of the operator's Personal TV.
The new model is five times faster, saves more energy and has the same compact size. It has better technical features, namely a faster processor and bigger cache memory. Together with better software, the company said it will significantly improve usage comfort and further extend Personal TV with new applications and functions.

Internet connection is via Wi-Fi (the device also supports the 'ac' highest standard) or via Ethernet cable. The device supports HD resolution, and has the most popular codecs installed to play external multimedia content.
The power consumption is lower: the new hardware is 10W and is a 2W better than the previous model. In power-saving standby mode, the power consumption is only 0.5W.

As of the end of the second quarter, the number of customers receiving the Telewizja Osobista (‘Personal TV’) service stood at 185,700, or 13,400 (8%) more than in June 2016.
The quarter-by-quarter increase was a more modest 1%.
Netia notes that almost half (48%) of its broadband subscriber base received Telewizja Osobista as of June 30 this year.
It adds that its key objective is to currently secure completely new customers, both for its upgraded NGA network and the network that formerly belonged to the cable operator Aster...."
