ZTE Wins Bulk of Rostelecom Access Network Upgrade Project

With ZTE's Multi-Service Access Network (MSAN) product that adopts technologies such as VDSL, Rostelecom aims to build the first stage of the project.
The second stage will implement such high-speed technologies as G.vectoring and G.fast. The solutions for the second stage are now under tests in Rostelecom.
As new services based on the IP Internet grow rapidly, users have increasingly high demands for high-speed Web access. Rostelecom, the largest fixed network operator in Russia, urgently needs an integrated access platform that both inherits traditional services and provides high-speed broadband services. The platform improves speeds of the existing copper network and supports high-bandwidth for the new services, including 4K/8K video and potentially AR/VR.
