These wholesale sales, part of their recurring revenue model, are the primary source of growth and are not publicly reported as "PLEIO units sold at retail" (throught amazon).
The number of PLEIOs supplied to partners like Connect Fibre or Brsk (for integration into their TV packages) is certainly much higher than direct-to-consumer sales on Amazon.
In conclusion, any estimated number presented here is pure speculation. The actual number of units sold at retail (Amazon) is likely in the few thousand at this point.
