"...Netgem took home the award for Advanced TV Service of the Year (2019) for Netgem.tv." @ VideoTech Innovation Awards
Netgem.tv signs also deals with
=> 12 fibre broadband providers in UK, Ireland (6 December 2019)!
Netgem confirmed that the netgem.tv service has signed partnership agreements with 12 ultrafast fibre broadband providers in the UK in the six months since launch.
As a result, the netgem.tv service can now reach over 250,000 UK homes, complementing their access to gigabit-enabled fibre broadband. The milestone comes after netgem.tv added the Premier Sports channels to its platforms. The netgem.tv service now offers access to more than 100 live TV channels such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, as well as a complete Freeview Play catch-up with more than 20,000 hours of content. It also offers access to streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Rakuten TV and Hayu.
The 12 ultrafast fibre broadband providers who have signed distribution deals with netgem.tv to bring the TV streaming service to their customers in the UK and Ireland are:
- WightFibre,
- Origin Broadband,
- Pure Broadband,
- Jersey Telecom,
- Air Broadband,
- Voneus,
- Pure Fibre,
- Cambridge Fibre,
- VX Fibre,
- Lilaconnect,
- Gigaclear
- Pure Telecom.
In less than six months, netgem.tv has signed partnership agreements with 12 Ultrafast Fibre providers in the UK offering its TV and Streaming service to a reach of over a quarter of a million of the UK homes, complementing their access to gigabit-enabled fibre broadband.
This distribution acceleration comes some two weeks after (November 2019) the addition of Premier Sports channels to the netgem.tv inclusive premium content line up – which the platform suggests confirms the appetite from viewers and operators alike for a ‘skinny bundle’ entertainment package.
netgem.tv’s library incorporates over 100 live TV channels including the nation’s favourites such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 as well as a complete Freeview Play catch-up including 20,000+ hours of content. In addition, netgem.tv gives access to an array of streaming services including Amazon Prime Video, hayu, Rakuten TV, YouTube, and many more.

Last year Voneus ISP secured a huge new investment of £30m to help their fixed wireless and future “full fibre” network target 900,000 UK premises (here). As such we can probably expect to see a lot more developments like this in the near future.

RépondreSupprimerISP Gigaclear Ends Year with 129,000 Full Fibre UK Premises
Thursday,
Rural broadband ISP Gigaclear, which is deploying a gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network to some of England’s remotest communities, are aiming to pick-up the build pace in 2020 after they reported a total network reach of 129,000 premises (up by 36,000 in the year) and 24,000 customers (up 26%).
=> We recall that Gigaclear’s previous ambition was to cover 350,000 rural premises with FTTP by the end of 2021, which would then rise to 500,000 by 2025,
===> but today’s report confirms that they’re now aiming to cover “500,000+ rural properties by 2023.”
