France Channel available @ Amazon Prime Video

 (Jul. 12, 2023)

France Channel  Debuts on Amazon Prime Video

"...Amazon Prime Video is the largest streaming-content provider worldwide with movies, series, original content and subscriptions to services such as Paramount Plus, Max, Discovery+ and now, France Channel. The partnership allows an estimated 146 million members of Amazon Prime in the U.S. to discover France through the largest ever offering of French titles, a majority of which have never been available in the United States.

According to Duolingo's data as of February of 2023, there are currently 20 million users on the app learning French. ..."

"..."We are very proud to be distributed on Amazon Prime Video Channels as it allows us to bring French Culture to the U.S.," said Julien Verley, chief executive officer and founder of France Channel. "Our assertion is that with the France Channel platform, many Americans will use it as an online discovery tool that serves as an alternative to physically traveling to France, but immersing oneself in the beauty of French Cinema and lifestyle...."

https://www.netgem.com/fr/notre-expertise

A little bit about Netgem @ DTG Summit 2022 – Television Beyond Imagination.

Television Beyond Imagination

DTG Summit 2022

Join us on May 5th 2022 at King's Place, London, for a day of insight, intelligence and imagination!

"A little bit about Netgem

Netgem TV brings the content streaming super-aggregator model to life for operators and ISPs through our core values. Value, choice, simplicity.
Netgem TV delivers a unique and unified experience across TV and mobile, offering access to the best digital TV, music and video streaming services across the biggest names in local broadcasters and global content players.

What’s the most exciting project coming up for Netgem?
We’re excited to deliver the next generation of TV aggregation service, even more relevant in this time of wallet crunch: Stream big, spend small.
We bring together free and great value content with a sophisticated yet simple discovery across all Linear broadcast channels, IP FAST channels, and on-demand streaming titles.
With Viva Smart launched in France, ZeopTV in La Reunion, Elisa Viihde 4K in Finland, Post TV in Luxembourg, the world of ‘full IP across multiple screens’ is now a reality, and we are working on bringing the same level of experience to the UK on Netgem TV.

What are you most excited for at the DTG Summit 2022?
We’re excited to meet new organisations and people from the content industry which is an essential part of our business. It is all the more exciting as this year’s event isn’t virtual! We are looking forward to catching up with all those present and getting the opportunity to share strategic perspectives based on other market developments to stimulate the UK TV ecosystem.

What does Television Beyond Imagination look like for Netgem?
In fact, it means that the constraints for the consumer are removed, whilst protecting the value for content owners: simple discovery, immediate access, and freedom to watch. Similar to the super-aggregator model we launched in France 3 years ago, ‘Television Beyond Imagination’ means that you offer what consumers expect. Simple access to any content, live or on-demand on the screen they want, without barriers such as multiple authentication mechanisms or dependency on a particular content delivery method. Viewers should be able to quickly access and simply discover what is relevant to them at the time they want. Less time searching, more time watching.

What is the biggest issue you think we can address together through cross-industry collaboration?
The paradox of the UK content industry is that it is jam-packed with very high-quality content, especially from the Public Service Broadcasters, yet it lacks simplicity in the distribution model across platforms, which results in an experience which remains fragmented for viewers:
Why does someone need a TV aerial to enjoy BBC1 when they have 1Gigabit speed full-fibre broadband which in many cases has been sold by telcos as the way to “stream entertainment freely”?
Why does someone need to log on to 5 different players to enjoy content across different catch-up apps, even on platforms which are designed to aggregate BVoD players?
Why is the experience so different between different Broadcaster services: Restart sometimes available, some box sets vs. short-life 7 day window etc…
The biggest issue is the speed of change to move to TV as modern viewers expect it – which is already in place in the USA and on the Continent in Europe.

Tell us something people might not know about Netgem.
Netgem’s vision of a fully integrated and truly aggregated TV service which combines the best of live and on-demand from both the Public Service Broadcasters and the entertainment streaming services, actually already exists!
Netgem has indeed implemented for years the full IP, full features (nPVR, nReplay, startover etc.) public broadcast in markets such as France, Luxembourg or Switzerland. With regards
to the aggregation of streaming services including Alexa Universal Search and personal recommendations across all content sources, it is already live in the UK and Ireland on the Netgem TV service.
All we need now is the right context to bring it all together in the UK market."

Netgem results at Q4 2021! GREAT perspetives for 2022-23 !

GREAT perspetives for 2022-2023 !

Press Release
Netgem Activity Point (January 25, 2022):
  • Growth of more than 30% of the subscriber base in 2021.
  • Objective of more than 500,000 subscribers by the end of 2022 (+ 40%).

- If the outlook is confirmed, more than 500,000 subscribers by the end of 2022 (+ 40% subscribers)

=> increase of + 40% monthly recurring revenue at the end of 2022 !!!

***

"This performance is the result of the development of the “Content-as-a-service” offer on Netgem’s main markets:

In the Nordic countries, Netgem has supported the growth of the Premium Elisa Viihde offer, despite tensions over the availability of components, and will continue this momentum in 2022.

On the British market, the NetgemTV offer had a year of commercial success, with the deployment of numerous Fiber operators, crowned in December 2021 by the launch of the TalkTalk TV by NetgemTV offer, the commercial conquest of which will be effective throughout 2022.

On the French market, Netgem regained new momentum thanks to the launch of the new B2C or B2BC “OTT” services Viva by VIDEOFUTUR, Première MAX by VIDEOFUTUR and France Channel. New “OTT” services are also scheduled for the first half of 2022.

In parallel with its commercial effort towards operators, Netgem continues to strengthen the attractiveness of its platform, in particular by entering into new agreements with content publishers. NetgemTV now offers hundreds of channels and services, offering access to tens of thousands of programs in the UK and France. Among the most recent agreements, Netgem can cite BT Sport, BeIN SPort 4K, more than 4,000 hours of AVOD programs (content on demand supported by advertising), and new Replay services from major channels.

(Paris, March 31, 2022)

"... In 2021, Netgem successful deployed its “Content-as-a-service” offer in its main markets:
✓ In the Nordic countries, Netgem supported the strong growth of its partner Elisa Viihde's Premium TV offer, despite tensions over the availability of components,
✓ On the British market, the NetgemTV offer enjoyed a year of commercial success, with many alternative fiber operators, and with TalkTalkoperator Tier 1
✓ On the French market, Netgem launched several new “OTT” services such as Viva by VIDEOFUTUR.

The total number of subscribers to the Group's services reached 363,000 at the end of 1 December 2021, up more than 30% over the year. Over the past financial year, Netgem achieved consolidated revenue of €28.3 million. Gross profit growth over the period was 11% to reach €17.6 million, more than 90% of which was recurring revenue.

...In 2022, Netgem's objective is to exceed half a million subscribers. In addition to major agreements with Elisa in the Nordic countries, Talk Talk in the United Kingdom, “OTT” services in France such as Viva by VIDEOFUTUR or ZeopTV, Netgem intends to continue to sign agreements with other alternative operators and to strengthen its platform with new content publishers. In the first quarter of 2022, NetgemTV is thus the first multi-screen TV streaming platform to integrate the TikToK service on its boxes as part of the TalkTalk deployment.  ..."
