Loewe at UK 2021 Christmas ! (luxury top-quality TV sets)

 (By Colin Mann - December 10, 2021)

Loewe returns to UK market with Netgem

German luxury TV-maker Loewe has relaunched in the UK with its high-end, top-quality TV sets.

Loewe will be partnering with Netgem TV in the UK, which powers TV for the UK’s ultrafast fibre ISPs, as well as the ‘altnets’ upgrading the UK to full-fibre broadband.

The pair will also be partnering on a pre-Christmas limited edition of the former’s bild s.77 and bild v OLED 4K ranges, which are currently retailed at Selfridges and Harrods, as well as select high-end retailers.

=> ll bild s.77s, bild v.55s and v.65s will include a subscription to Netgem TV, in addition to the service’s Netgem TV 4K box. This is certainly a deal that customers will not want to miss out on.

“This partnership provides an excellent opportunity to bring in a new customer base that loves to watch quality TV,” suggested Alan Whyte, Managing Director, Loewe. “There is no better TV partner for our return to the UK than Netgem, and we are looking forward to watching this new partnership blossom.”

“We are delighted to be launching with Loewe this Christmas,” declared Shan Eisenberg, Chief Commercial Officer, Netgem UK. “We know how important it is to spend valuable time with loved ones this time of year, and we are looking forward to providing bild S and bild V customers with the greatest shows and movies available via Netgem TV.”

Netgem good results at Q3 2021!

Despite the global shortage of components, which will have restrained growth throughout 2021, and after taking into account the exceptional negative impact of Origin, of the order of 3 growth points, NETGEM is aiming for growth of 12% of its Gross Profit in 2021.

Netgem, bonnes perspectives pour 2022

...bonnes perspectives pour 2022:

(Note: this analysis of Sep. 02, 2021 did not take into account subsequent agreements / deals with: "TalkTalk UK" (with Over4 million broadband customers); PREMIERE MAX - France (for Premiere's 3,375,000 readers) and  Ireland’s no.1 Broadband Provider Pure Telecom launche by Netgem.TV)

seekingalpha research:

"On a conservative basis, the net equity valuation per share is estimated at €2.7 at FY2021, €3.6 at FY2022 and €4.7 at FY2023, representing massive triple-digit upsides from where we are today."

"(...)

C5. Conservative valuation suggests significant upside

To value Netgem which is in essence a growing technology business, we can reasonably use the EV/EBITDA approach based on a conservative projection.

Gross profit. Given the multiple drivers of growth I believe that Netgem can maintain at least a 15% growth guidance in 2021 over the next few years. This 15% guidance incorporates the impact of the global shortage of certain electronic components. Let's assume 15% growth for future year for the sake of conservatism.

Operating expense. Despite gross profit growth, Netgem is able to reduce cost in 2021 thanks to the restructuring and cost savings at Vitis. These activities are still ongoing so we should be able to see further benefits. Putting this upside aside, after the cost of goods sold, Netgem is a basically a fixed-cost business thanks to its focus on software development and B2B distribution. For conservatism, I assume the increase in expense corresponds to 25% of gross profit increase or an implied marginal EBITDA / Gross Profit of 75%.

EV. To estimate EV, I conservatively use a multiple of EV/EBITDA of 15x, which could be considered to be low for a growing technology business. We observe much higher multiples in similar businesses below.

Net Cash. Net cash of €4.3M at the end of June 2021 is adjusted in the calculation.

Minority Interest. 47% of Vitis is owned by other shareholders (Groupe Caisse de Dépôts and Océinde). I conservatively assume this minority part represents 20% of Netgem value despite the fact that the Europe ex. France, notably in the UK, have a much better profitability and growth prospect.

Netgem:

  • "Leading provider of B2B Internet TV services in Europe.
  • Successful transformation from a hardware manufacturing business to an as-a-service business model with 90% of recurring revenues and multiple paths to continue double-digit % growth of gross margin.
  • Market under-appreciates the value of the transformation and even a conservative valuation suggests triple-digit % upside. "

UK to launch the next big thematic hub - Netgem TV

Netgem TV has reached the milestone of 200 channels available to its customers.

This was achieved through the recent addition this summer of 20 extra channels.

The new channels launch follows the recent BT Sport and SportsTribal TV launch announcement and spreads across all genres, with even more sports channels (Motorvision TV, ESTV) but also lifestyle channels like Cooking Panda and the addition of Toon Goggles TV for kids.

" These new channels come in complement to the Freeview Play partnership which remains the backbone of the Netgem TV service – so it was natural for Netgem to turn to a Public Service Broadcaster to launch the next big thematic hub, central on the TV User Interface across all distribution channels

Netgem has partnered with Channel 5’s Milkshake!, bringing together kids’ favourite characters, including Peppa Pig, Milkshake Monkey, Thomas and Friends and more, in the dedicated hub ‘School’s Out Avenue’ that will keep kids entertained throughout the summer holidays with their favourite shows and characters."

Shan Eisenberg, CCO Netgem, UK added: “We are thrilled to work with Channel 5’s Milkshake! to bring kids’ favourite characters right in the centre of our Netgem TV service this summer. This is a great way to mark Netgem reaching the landmark of 200 channels available to all ISP customers.”

=> 2020 : le pivot est réussi!

2021 : On accélère !
