NEW: PLEIO TV (Freely TV +Gaming...) finaly available @ Community Fibre

(15/10/2026)
https://communityfibre.co.uk/tv
New Community Fibre TV - Don't just watch it. Play it.
Add TV to your package from £12/month.
Your TV isn't just for watching anymore. Access 200+ channels, live sport, your favourite streaming apps and unlimited cloud gaming – all from just £12/month.
Featuring Freeview, blockbuster movies, live sport and the very best streaming services
=>> Transitioning from the current Community Fibre TV offering (powered by Netgem) to the new PLEIO platform (also developed by Netgem) brings several key improvements focused on simplicity and next-generation streaming! ==> Key enhancements with PLEIO:
• Integrated Freely technology: The PLEIO platform incorporates Freely, allowing you to watch live television (channels such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4, etc.) directly via IP streaming—no rooftop aerial required.
• A unified "Watch, Stream, and Play" experience: PLEIO brings together live TV, catch-up services, streaming apps (Netflix, Prime Video, NOW, etc.), and cloud gaming all in one place.
• Cloud gaming included: The PLEIO service provides access to a catalog of cloud-based games (using a dedicated controller, with no need for downloads or heavy installations on the device itself).
• Simplified interface: Designed to eliminate the complexity of juggling multiple apps or switching between various sources, the interface aggregates recommendations based on the household's viewing habits.
• Updated hardware: The new device (PLEIO Puck) and its voice-enabled remote control replace the previous, traditional Netgem 4K set-top box, while maintaining full 4K and HDR compatibility.

Overall, the PLEIO Puck is the best choice for modern use; however, the older Netgem 4K box (available via Community Fibre) retains one specific technical advantage if you prefer a wired connection.

Here is how to choose the best device for your needs:
Why the PLEIO Puck is the clear winner: 🏆
• Modern ecosystem (Android TV 14): Unlike the older box, which used a closed system, the PLEIO Puck integrates with Google’s official app catalog. You get a much smoother, faster, and more future-proof interface.
• More storage space: With 32GB of memory (compared to less than 8GB on the older model), you can install plenty of apps without running out of space. • Great for gamers: It is the only device that includes a game controller and is optimized for cloud gaming.
• Completely discreet: Weighing just 40 grams and roughly the size of a coaster, it can be tucked away entirely behind your television.

The only scenario where the older Netgem 4K box remains the "better" choice: 🔌 • Wired internet connection: If your Wi-Fi signal is unstable where your TV is located, the older box features a physical Ethernet (RJ45) port for a wired connection. The PLEIO Puck, by contrast, operates exclusively via Wi-Fi.
In summary: If you have a reliable Wi-Fi connection in your living room, the PLEIO Puck is clearly superior in terms of performance, features, and long-term technological viability.

LONDON, Sept 3 (Reuters) - "Mobile operator VodafoneThree (VOD.L), opens new tab launched its own TV service in Britain on Thursday, filling a gap in its broadband offer to better compete with rivals Sky, Virgin ‌Media and BT. It also launched a premium mobile offer with guaranteed faster speeds.

. Vodafone TV will include streaming apps Netflix and HBO Max, linear and on-demand content from broadcasters like the BBC and ITV, more than 300 games and thousands of apps, the company said.
. Vodafone's "SuperMobile" product offers up to four times faster speeds and a guaranteed minimum download speed of 15 Mbps when customers are in 5G+ coverage.
. It utilises a dedicated "FastTrack" in Vodafone's 5G+ network, which partitions or "slices" a chunk of the network and prioritises users' data traffic.
.It will be available to pay monthly customers for an extra £3 ($4.05) a month on top of its full-speed Xtra plans.
. It ‌is also launching a tandem "SuperMobile" service for business, which it said was anchored by Britain's first national business-only mobile network slice.
. Rival EE, owned by BT (BT.L), opens new tab, launched its own "Fast Lane" product using a dedicated network slice last month.
. Vodafone pledged to invest £11 billion in its British network when it merged with Hutchison's Three in 2025.

. CCS Insight analyst Kester Mann said: "The option to access a superior connectivity service in places where heavy demand can significantly impact network performance addresses a major customer pain point."

Cloud Gaming is ready to liftoff, with PLEIO games on board!

GAMING INDUSTRY GROWTH IS SET TO INCREASE!

Cloud Gaming is ready to liftoff, with PLEIO games on board:

"As 2025 comes to a close, the video game industry is emerging from its post-pandemic slump and ready to enter a new, more upbeat era. Employment and investment in the sector are stabilizing; growth is starting to pick up.

This cautiously optimistic industry outlook is evident in BCG’s latest Global Gaming Survey of approximately 3,000 gamers, as well as in numerous conversations with industry leaders and our work with companies in the industry. These data points suggest that the long-awaited end to the three-year “video game winter” is imminent, although growth will not return to the rates achieved during the 2010s, when the industry doubled in size in a decade:"

2025 S1 results and S2 objectives

Activity and results for the first half of 2025:

▪ Netgem's new offerings in cloud gaming and FAST channels demonstrate their ability to engage tier 1 operators and expand the Company's addressable market, in a context of shrinking TV subscriber bases for European operators.

▪ Thanks to these new services, Netgem increases its recurring revenue and gross margin rate, despite a decline in total revenue

▪ Solid financial position, strong expected increase in operating profit and free cash flow over the entire 2025 financial year

source (July 31, 2025):

https://www.netgem.com/en/investors/regulatory-press-releases

Outlook: Continuing ramp-up of growth drivers to support market transformation

Hence, the investments made by Netgem to create an offer of streaming video games3, which transforms the TV Box into a console and the mobile phone into a gamepad, has already won over Sonatel, a subsidiary of Orange present in West Africa4, JIO (India) and Telkom Indonesia. It is worth noting that these initial successes are due to operators outside Europe, contributing to the expansion of Netgem’s addressable market towards more dynamic geographies.

In Cloud Gaming, Netgem is also working on signing agreements with major game publishers, which will strengthen its catalog’s attractiveness. Similarly, the launch of free interactive channel packages financed by targeted advertising (FAST channels) aims to improve the economic competitiveness of telecom operator bundles and their attractiveness to an audience accustomed to YouTube-type content.

In the United Kingdom, Netgem is one of Everyone TV’s preferred partners and should benefit from the momentum of the launch of the new “FREELY” products5 with, as a result, an increase in its subscriber base and associated revenues. The acquisition of new operators is also expected in this strategic territory with several discussions currently being finalized. If these business prospects are encouraging, Netgem remains cautious about the development of its activity and anticipates a confirmation of first-half trends throughout 2025.

In terms of results, the Netgem Group remains fully confident in its ability to generate operating profit and free cash flow over the entire 2025 financial year that are significantly higher than in 2024.

Community Fibre, Netgem.TV client at UK, alone covers c. 1.3 million premises in London (Nov 2023), which we think would probably reach around 1.4m with the addition of Box broadband into that total.

"Network builder and UK broadband ISP CommunityFibre (CF), which runs a large 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network across London and surrounding areas, has notified that their sibling Altnet for Surrey and West Sussex, Box Broadband, will in the near future be adopting CF’s branding.
